If we were to live with our future in mind the world might be a better place. Medical staff would be limited because everyone would eat healthy and engage in physical activities daily. Their would be no crime and killing because everyone will get along. Many of the diseases that exist in today's society would not exist if we have the future in mind. Education would become priority for parents and their kids. If we were to think of the future their would not be global warming and illegal wildlife trade. A lot of occupations that exist today would not be available. Everyone would live different because our attitude, behavior and belief towards life would be different. The question is would that be a perfect society and is it realistic? In today's society a lot of people has the future in mind but certain barrier allows them from not reaching their goals such as poverty, diseases, lack of education, occupation and resources. Thinking of the future daily will enhance our daily life to do something positive at the present moment.

  1. I don't think it would be as perfect. For instance, some people would simply get rid of the mentaly ill, the people who have deadly diseases, with our future in mind. The world can not be perfect simply with keeping our future in mind. Some people take it to a different level and abuse people and do unethical things with their future in mind. Some people are just not taught to think about their future. I don't mean to sound so pesimistic, but I do not think a lot would be very different. There are people that think of their future, but do not have the resources. As you said there are barriers, which may be difficult to over come even with your future in mind.

  2. Obviously some people would live differently if they were actually thinking about their future. However, I don’t think that it is that simple for most people. Many people are constantly trying new diets, new ways to quit smoking and new exercise methods. However, over one-third of women in this country are obese (Hitz, 2009). Many of these women have tried all kinds of diet and exercise programs. Ask a morbidly obese woman if she has thought about her future. I would be willing to bet that the answer would be yes.

People need more than to think about the future, they need help. Learning how to change their future is the most important thing. Without this knowledge worrying about the future is pointless.
